Eat Right fo Life: Nutrition Course
Eat Right for Life is a nutrition class that focuses on the book written by Dr. Ann Kulze. During this 5 week class; Deb Guenterberg MS, RDN, CD with Prevea Health will be discussing key points from each chapter. Participants will be encouraged to read a chapter each week that will coincide with the topics. Both Dr. Ann’s book and Deb want to help with any diet confusion that occurs in an effort to lead a healthy lifestyle. Typically, this course would cost $50, but NJSD staff have free access as part of the Healthy You employee wellness program.
Come as you are; Take control of your wellness.
Wellness is something we have inside of us.

Fitting exercise into your day
You don't need hours in a day to devote to physical activity. We are all busy and may only have a quick 10 or 15-minute break to be active. Aside from walking the halls, you also could do a quick video. Follow the link for short and longer videos to use depending on the time you have. It's not about FINDING time, it's about MAKING time and making movement a priority.
Take time for self-care
"Mindfulness is being aware of yourself, others, and your surroundings in the moment. When consciously and kindly focusing awareness on life as it unfolds minute by precious minute, you are better able to savor each experience. Also, being closely attentive gives you the opportunity to change unwise or painful feelings and responses quickly. In fact, being truly present in a mindful way is an excellent stress reducer and, because of that, can be seen as consciousness conditioning, a strengthening workout for body, mind, heart, and spirit"-Sue Thoele

With that in mind, we have structured our programs around YOU and your day to provide ample opportunity for wellness.
Professional Learning and Development:
PLD Wellness Hour
Health Begins Here
Professional Learning and Development days have a built-in wellness component as a reflection of the support provided by the administration. Creating a culture of health is a core value in the Neenah School district because we believe that the healthier and happier our staff are, the more potential there is to provide quality education and care for our students.
The Neenah Joint School District offers a variety of wellness opportunities and services for staff and families including a comprehensive insurance plan with an accompanying wellness platform, an on-site wellness clinic, employee assistance program and other services.
Quality Health Care
WEA Trust offers high-quality health plans, fully insured or as a self-funded administrator, with the flexibility to meet each employer’s needs. We strive to keep quality high while controlling costs through innovative ideas and partnerships.
In addition to health insurance for active employees, WEA-MedPlus is our wrap-around plan for retirees on Medicare. WEA Trust also offers vision insurance and a group plan for post-employment health care expenses.
All of our products come with our Wisconsin-based, top-rated customer service.
Vitality is an active, fully integrated global wellness program designed to engage, encourage and reward you on your personal pathway to better health.
You begin your Vitality journey at Bronze Vitality Status by taking the Vitality Health Review: an online questionnaire about your current health and lifestyle. Based on your answers, we calculate your Vitality Age and provide suggestions for you to maintain or improve your health. Although your own improved health is reward enough, Vitality will reward your hard work and dedication to living a healthy life.
Health and Wellness Center
Convenience for the Whole Family
The Neenah Joint School District Health and Wellness Center is a convenient, affordable way to get many of the same services you would receive from your primary care doctor. A physical therapist is also available for musculoskeletal complaints and work-related injuries. The center sees patients ages 6 months and older. Payments may be made with credit/debit/HSA cards or check.
Employee Assistance Program
"ERC is Wisconsin’s premier Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offering free-standing, face-to-face counseling models. Our approach sees an average 85% issue resolution rate in an 6-session model. We are the ones you call when the worst in life happens; the “What if?” scenarios which can devastate a work environment. Through our critical incident expertise, we respond with highly trained counselors anytime, anywhere."
Health Savings Account
You put aside money in a tax-exempt account at Associated Bank. Earn competitive interest or invest the money in mutual funds offered through Associated HSA Plus Portal for greater potential return.

“Just because you're not sick doesn't mean you're healthy. Good health is not just the absence of pain or disease but positively feeling good in the whole of our being, and therefore includes lifestyle, mental attitude, and ways of relating to all living beings and nature.”
